Woke up, and felt lousy. did a wake and bake.
Shower scorpion... lol ...what is it.. .After some housecleaning I thought I'd run through the shower fast! I DIDN'T SHOWER ALONE!! The first shower scorpion of the season was in there! Another successful shampoo bottle kill!!
We have a lot of scorpions here, for some reason they show up in the shower sometimes!!Shower scorpion... lol ...what is it.. .
Must be an arachnid thing. We have spiders in ours. I can only guess that they go in through the floor drain for the water heater in the basement, then travel along the dark wet drain pipe about 50 feet and pop up in the shower. Only to be smashed to smithereens once they get there and I see them. They're pretty much dead meat in a bathtub if they can't make it back to the drain when they get the alert. They can kind of climb the porcelain walls of the tub for a bit, until it goes pure vertical, then they start sliding back downwards. No way they can survive a good smash on hard porcelain. Not like on carpet where they can maybe duck down enough to withstand getting flattened (on carpet you need to use the squash-'n-spin method with your shoe to really grind them up).We have a lot of scorpions here, for some reason they show up in the shower sometimes!!

They are attracted to moisture, I was in a hurry to get a shower before going out one day.We have a lot of scorpions here, for some reason they show up in the shower sometimes!!
And right you should be!Just got home from the job in Mason City. It went pretty well today. There was some more picking mud, pulling spikes, knocking anchors off, and sawing rail. Then, spiking the new rail down and driving anchors back on. It was a little easier today because we did over half of the project yesterday.
Now my 3 day weekend starts. It's going to be busy. My daughter graduates this weekend so I'll be doing stuff related to that. She's graduating #4 in her class with a 3.99 GPA. (There is a set of triplets who all have an identical 4.0 who are going to be co-valedictorians). I am a proud, proud papa...

Keep looking in the shower, THEY ARE COMING!! Lol , hopefully not all of those,Nothing in my shower, but we've got coyotes, bobcats, rattle snakes & black racers, tarantulas, fire ants, hawks, Bard Owls outside. It's like a damned zoo here!
On another note, the electrician has finished! We have lights & power!!! Yay! After a month and a half ... Tomorrow they come to paint the doors and trim.
There will be a 2 week lull while we wait for the countertop and shower glass. Might give us a chance to clean up some rooms of the house.
