I love Guatemalan food and other central american foods... I'm also very fond of Mexican food. I could get authentic versions of all of these on the 3 occasions I lived in CA... Here in Bama I get Americanized versions of these, still good but not as good. Still haven't found a place where I see Hispanic people eating, when I do they won't be able to keep me away. ;)

Some more progress on the new place.

Had to have an uncomfortable conversation with a lady I've had a few dates with tonight. I had to tell her there's already a beautiful young woman in my life, she's 13 years old and she calls me dad. I just can't make enough room in my life for my daughter, my job, and a relationship too. Luckily she seemed to understand. And I'm considering myself off the market. My daughter needs me, and I need her just as much...

@Dadio Looking good. That will make a nice space. Fun to see the progression.
@Peanut Get some rest and we'll pick on you when you feel better :)
@Spikedriver That is good of you - not sure that's the right word. I was once told that if there's a time other than infancy when kids need their parents, it is when they are teenagers. I've always remembered that. It's when they are practicing being grown ups. Kinda like going from being a passenger in a car to becoming the driver. Sounds like you're a great dad.

I worked today and got to amend 23? reports complete with tedious calculations because I was misinformed when I filed the first one. Erg! Got home late, fixed super and now sitting for a min. before I go take a shower and go to bed.

Not that it matters, but you just earned a bunch of respect points in my book.
LL is exactly right..teens really need super guidance at that time of their growing up.

My wife and I raised 3 daughters...that was the toughest times.
I can only tell ya to give her your finest example of a person you would like her to follow.

Sounds like you got it under control.

Thanks, Jim and LadyL for the kind words.

Driving back to New Mexico today. Hoping the house is picked up. Will be dealing with the run of dead chickens, about a dozen, from something that attacked them. Something with the animals always happens when we are out of town. This time it's gotta be either our son's dog or a raccoon that we've had problems with.

Sorry about the chickens... Me, I'd bet a dog if it happened in one night, a raccoon if it happened over a few nights. :(

Got the winter garden planted and then Monday went and bought dog food ingredients. Monday afternoon made the dog food in the new roaster and let it slow cook overnight. Yesterday, I pressure canned it and the seal failed on one of my canners so I will order another replacement today (I had a replacement for the one that failed). Also, did laundry yesterday and caught up on a few shows with DH.

Anyone hear from Mobook yet?

Have Bible study tonight and nothing actually planned for the next 3 days. I know I will find something to do, but it's nice to have some down time!

Then I show it to my wife.

SEE ....

We were newly weds when I noticed a "To Do" on the side of the Refrigerator. A few says later the wife when was I going to start in the list? I asked, "What list?" The list on the refrigerator, when are you going to start on it? I answered as soon as I finishe my list for you to do. I never saw a list again.

I heard about a former student of mine, who was briefly married, just long enough to produce a child. He and the then wife went to visit his in-laws. Mother-in-law had a schedule written for him for his time there, including things like, 7-8 a.m., shower, get ready for the day, 8 - 9, breakfast at such and such restaurant. All of his time was scheduled. It was this that ultimately caused the divorce. I was dumbfounded when I heard about it.
