Not a good night last night. Wife was hurting and couldn't sleep.
Same thing this morning . Finally got her to drink a little water , eat a fiber bar, take her meds, and an oxycodone. Was sitting up and feeling better, and sleeping off and on. Now she's not feeling good again.
She needs to eat and take another pain pill.
Hopefully tonight and tomorrow will be a little better.

Jim

Jim, keep her eating some and take the pain pills close to a normal schedule for a few days. Stay ahead of the pain to start out. Wife hates pain meds, makes her puke if she don't take food and phenigrin with them. But after 4 surgeries on here neck and shoulders in 4 years she figured out better to do that for a short time that be in constant pain and not sleeping.
My prayers are with you guys

Sorry about your wife having all those surgeries Backp.😟

LOL Yeah, but thats just the last 4. And all of them caused from the broken neck in 1991. That has affected her completely ever since. Dr told her then he wouldn't make a guess of what her future would be like. He wasn't wrong. But she's still vertical and goes as hard as she can about every day. Just not any quit in her that I've seen.

We have been without phone and wifi since Saturday moring but we got a lot done.
It is a rude awakening to not have it though.
This morning I almost got the vines I've been working on off fence in yard. Mr Meer helped some. Took a ride on golf cart to do some huge vines on propert line fence too. He did most of those ,only a few though, but millions more to go!:ghostly: .We got the huge ones that was bending the fence but have mnay doing the same thning we need to get to.Bathing th dogs and cleaning some.Got fredge cleaned out yesterday too .

Grandaughtrs wedding happened at 5pm yesterdy and is FINALLY over.Turned out great everyone happy and nice'thank goodness'.
Venue wouldn't allow pictures only photographer. So no pictures till they say.:(. I'd snunk one in. But I bet they will be beautiful or hope so.
Daughter is " relieved" its over ,happy but relieved. Pndemic, inlaws and brides maids argring people canceling becuse of pandemic ,etc.
Now to get the teenager off to military accdamy before he gets in touble. I'd be in jail today the way kids talk to their parents is unreal.
My mother knocked me across the room and I slid down the wall .She thought I pushed her I was just pulling a kid away from her I[d rather kiss a rattler than push her.I know it would not have good outcome.I didn't let anyone but me and mama disipline my kids but Back talk was done behind the back.:D

I know it is bad on her and she sounds like a strong woman.:thumbs:I know hubby at times has firs with his and says if he ever slows down he may not be able toget back up again. But he does take breaks too.

Yes, @hiwall you're a bargain shopper on that knife sharpener. Lucky.
Amish, glad the chicks made it.
Mo, I get tired just thinking about packing, so then I don't. You'll still be living near enough to the small visitor, right?
Didn't feel so great today either.

😺😼 🏤
Yes, Patchouli, yes I will.
I'll still be in the same town.
Just a safer neighborhood.

Mobookworm has lost her internet service , it may be broken for 5-10 days.
So she is still very excited that her second grand daughter arrived into this world at 3:06 this morning.
drink buddy:clapping:
May I present to you ...
Little Miss Reign Michelle Creamer, weighing in at 8lbs 1 oz.

Happy happy Gramma again.

Congratulations
Thank you for posting Jim

Jim- will continue praying for Mrs to heal and be relieved of pain. Sleep is a precious thing.

I picked first small picking of tomatoes and canned 5 pints using the Tatler lids. Will see how I did with them come morning when jars are completely cooled. And so the games begin- will keep the tomato canning stuff at ready. Got the stove in the summer kitchen put back together after figuring out that mice had got into it. Pulled it apart and cleaned and got new insulation. Also cleaned my onions and garlic and got seed from spinach, parsley, and chard. And in between all that cleaned up summer kitchen so I’m ready to roll.
Talked to Pa earlier. He has no teeth now and was saying what he’s eaten. I told him he could probably ask for mashed potatoes and gravy. He told me popsicles are better 😉. Mom might get to go see him for a visit tomorrow. She last saw him last Tuesday so I’m praying it gets approved. His next surgery will probably be Wednesday but they’ve not said for sure. Looking forward to seeing him!

My goodness folks.
My internet goes down the world falls apart.
Jim,
Sorry the Mrs Jim has been ill.
Hope she's on the road to recovery.
Lady L,
Sorry about your dad.
Hopefully they will get him squared away sooner than later.
Prayers for who ever needs them.
I'm glad to be back in the state of Missouri.
Reading forums, resting catching up on the news, eating ice ream sandwiches.
Frodo,
Oldest grand daughter tried to put on the moccasins that you sent.
Youngest son and his beautiful wife love the moccasins for baby Reign.

Welcome back @MoBookworm1957 .

Hope things are well with you and new granddaughter.

Jim
She's been to her first check up already.
Haven't got to hold her yet, but I will soon.
Just got back to Missouri today.
Glad to be back home.
Strawberry and oldest grand daughter hadn't left my side until it was time to take her home.
I am so glad to be home.

Now that's a good story. Mine are not throbbing today, so on the road to recovery. Little toe looks very ugly, toe next to it is blue, and bruising on my foot above the two toes. I'll live. I've broken a toe or two in judo before, and have pulled them straight, then iced, then taped to the toe next to it. Hurts like heck to do that.

This weekend I managed to hang 12 cabinet doors, assemble and install 21 drawers, make the alignment gig for the drawer and door pulls, installed 30 and then asked the wife, where are the rest of the pulls? She said she only ordered 30......

Sunday night I collected all the cardboard and did an inventory of what is left to be done.... I have 3 more cabinets to assemble, 22 drawers, 3 sets of doors, and then another 16 pulls to install; I also need to make a set of under shelf basket drawers for onions & potatos, the base for the island, trim and finish the butcher block top for the island, cut and install the toe-kick trims & filler trim pieces..... easy peasy.

The good news is that the kitchen is now operational... Fridge, stove, sink, some counter space, and drawers; so no more cooking in the bathroom..... :)

Wife looked at the plans last night and this morning says, "I don't know where to put anything....?@#$?....

She also looked at the living room and said, "I wonder when we can start remodeling this room????"

As I was working in the kitchen one of my hunting buddied stopped by to ask if I needed anything from bass-pro... He looked at the kitchen and said, "Nice". I think he was just being polite.
So I responded, “I didn’t like it when I got roped into it, but then I realized that it comes with a parts washer, so at least it will be functional.”

Wife, listening in, “I heard that, NOT IN MY SINK, NOT NOW, NOT EVER!!!!!”

It's so good to be home.
Internet is working right now.
They're going to be upgrading equipment next week.
I got up to water leak behind my present apartment.
I'd say about 5000 gallons a minute is running down the street if not more.
City water department will be here sometime today to fix that.
Water has been shut off now, funny noise coming from furnance room has finally stopped.

Today is the first day of school for the girls. I am as ready as I will ever be.
They are finishing breakfast before we head into the school room to start the day.

Once school is done I want to head to the farmers market for some fruit and veggies. We haven't been since this covid crap happened and I really want to go! I figure Roo has a couple hours of work to do (mostly getting started and intro junk) then we can get out of the house for a bit.

Then the girls will play outside while I get some housework done. I have boxes to sort through and minor cleaning since basic house cleaning is part of Roo's home ec curriculum this year.

Heavy weather rolled in an 1045. The power to my whole little town went out, or was cut, before the weather sirens even went off. Expecting 70-80 mph winds to hit in a couple minutes, and it just got so dark outside I need to use a flashlight to get around inside my place.

This is putting a bit of a crimp in my plans for the day. I've got some things I need to do before I leave for Wisconsin this afternoon. Oh well...guess maybe that last load of laundry wasn't as important as I thought.
