Heavy weather rolled in an 1045. The power to my whole little town went out, or was cut, before the weather sirens even went off. Expecting 70-80 mph winds to hit in a couple minutes, and it just got so dark outside I need to use a flashlight to get around inside my place.

This is putting a bit of a crimp in my plans for the day. I've got some things I need to do before I leave for Wisconsin this afternoon. Oh well...guess maybe that last load of laundry wasn't as important as I thought.
That's what happen to my town when my Internet went out.

Good to see you back Mo!
A touch of sunshine in a dark world! ;)

Roo is almost done with her lessons. She is working on her daily writing. She hates writing so I focused her curriculum around it to force her to try harder.

Juju got a taste of preschool this morning. I figured 40 minutes of letters, numbers, colors and shapes was plenty for her. She is only 3 after all.

I am sitting at the girls' work table since my folding desk has not been delivered yet. I ordered a small folding desk so I can sew or surf the net while the girls do school work or color and it can be put away when the space is needed for other things. Being in a different room from Roo is a no-go. She figured out last year how to look up the answers in the teacher guides. I don't have room outside of the school room for my book cart yet so I have to keep it in the classroom where she does her work. So far she has a good handle on what is expected of her.

K is coming home early from work so he can do the yard work he didn't do over the weekend. While he is doing that I plan to work on the bookcases in the garage so they can come in the house soon. The girls plan on running around like wild animals during that time. ;)

Good on you for homeschooling the kids.

Glad you are back safe and sound, MoBookworm! And I hope you do get to move soon!

Walked first this morning, fed dogs and took them for a stroll outside fence on leash. They love that so much! Went to Kroger for local sales, Dollar Tree for frozen fruit and a thrift store.

Home and have second load of laundry started. Still have to cut okra and pick figs and put it all away.

I did not sleep well at all last night-a little over 4 hours- so I don't think I will do much else today.

Thank you snappy1,
It's good to be back.

You were missed, Mo!
Went to drop the twins at Band Camp, dropped little granddaughter off at my cousins, and took husband to the diabetic dr. He seemed good, husband liked him. So, one down, about 4 more specialists to go. Picked up little one and had lunch at cousins house. Now home, and am enjoying some coffee, trying to get my second wind.

Thank you Amish Heart.
I'm glad to be back.

Have the thugs calmed down any aince you left?
While I was gone.
We had an immigration raid done.
Feds came in for that one twice.
They did a large scale drug raid.
Feds came in for that too.
Immigration raid netted them 25 illegals first time around.
35 second time around, including children.
Police, State Patrol, County Sheriff practically live down here now.
1 Female Police officer was fired.
3 drug dealers were taken off the street.
1 prostitution ring shut down at least temporary that is.
Does that answer your question.
My son stayed here with Strawberry.
He's also armed when he's here.
Hence why I want to move.

The storm has passed. Straight line winds reached 100mph and my town looks like a war zone with trees down everywhere and many damaged houses. My building came through ok. I got lucky.

My ex had severe damage at her acreage, barn is flattened and trees down against the house. My daughter and her little half sister are terrified but ok. My daughter's pony is homeless until they can rig up a shelter though...

Glad everybody is safe and sound Spike driver.

Took the wife's car back to the shop so they could fix an idle problem that cropped up after their last repair. (They fixed it, no charge). Met with our wealth management team, we are on target to live till we die. Installed the Btech mobile in the car, ready for our exercise on saturday. Grilled a batch of metts for dinner and leftovers. Waiting for the winds to pick up, projected about 8 pm.

And this neighborhood has been cleaned up since myself and 5 other retired Military types moved in down here.
By the way the other retired Military types are also on the list to move into the new apartment complex.
I found out today, I am number 2 on the list.
Here is their standings on the list:4,6,7,10,11.
I have been waiting about 14 months to move up on the list.
These Military type personnel some of them having been waiting closer to 2 year- 3.5 years.

Some of the damage from today...

Had to go to Looneyville (Portland) and back today. There is a rest area essentially at each end of the 4.5 hr drive so I stop whether I need to or not. I n Oregon, commy Kate still has state parks shut down (even the bathrooms) which is the only thing in between. On my way back not too far from the loons, I saw this. The monster thing had 3 heads and the chick on its back has a drink that’s bubbling over. I don’t remember the Greek gods etc well enough to know if that applies or if it’s just creepy!
@Spikedriver Wow - glad you are all “okay” for lack of better word.
@MoBookworm1957 Now that’s something the ol’ gal in Mayberry never saw when she spied out her window.
When is @Sentry18 coming back. Little stinker abandoned us 😉. I hope he’s having a great time with his family and enjoying some down time.

@phideaux how is Mrs today? 🙏

Don't know why, but, she is not improving very much.
Some pain, but very weak.
I see a slight improvement today. She still will not eat anything.
Low grade fever tonight.

Took the big bandage off tonight, 4 little incisions , where they went in to fix those vertebrae.

Just st gonna take some time.

Picked up her muscle relaxers today.maybe that will help.

That is a damn shame that any of you are on a list. Meatime illeglas and others are moving into these low rentals all the time. But can change it .

Did you visit with dr? That doesn’t seem right. Muscle relaxers should help, but dr should also be concerned. I don’t like her hurting. Do you have any chamomile tea. Easy on her tummy for evening. Peppermint tea in morning- both help digestive system. Will keep her in my prayers - and you too.
