Super I'm just 4 years behind you. And yep had those crappy 8 tracks too.

The Allman Betts Band has 3 sons of the original ABB band members. Devon Allman is one of Gregs sons, and too me looks much more like Duane Allman. Duane Betts is Dickey's son. And Berry Oakley Jr, is Berry's son. They cover some of the old ABB music and I think they do a good job with it. But they also do a lot of their own music. I think they are pretty good myself
 
My wonderful wife sings Blue Bayou... after living most of her life in the south the emotion shows.
She has a beautiful voice.
 
Helen Reddy Passed away today a fem when young and climbing to the top of the charts. Never was that fond of any of her songs, but many people were.

Did not hear about her passing, Meer. 78 yrs. old, dementia.
Enjoyed the radio hearing her sing, that's about it. Who couldn't sing along with that? Guys, guys couldn't sing along, "I Am Woman."
 
That was fun for a second. Let's listen to something else.
I guess this one is kind of sad.

@tuliprox , this song reminds me of the younger and older generation gaps,Replace daughter with son,You probably never heard of Cat Stevens but he had some nice songs.I had two of his 8 tracts and a few vynals too.

Patch I'm trying to put up songs for the kid with drug theropy and here you come with two of the 60s acid freak druggies favorite bands.:Do_O.
I was very fortunate that young college kid 'accidently' gave his life to later save mine. I was15 in ER for arm injury fighting with cousin. In rushes in gurney surrounded by interns and doctors wotking on what turned out to be a Ga.Tech ballplayer still dressed in jersey and ball pants,who just overdosed on acid screaming and tring to get loose and run. Watched him die a horrible death crying younf interns aand dr kept draging me up to room saying 'want to do drugs'. I wouldn't ever consider touching any drug after that.:ghostly::devil:🥵 . But I did listen to most of teh 60s and 70s music along wwith pop and everything else.😎.

I liked some of her songs but you have to realize I was married,having kids during Helens fame and most of her admirers were hippy girls. :devil: it was kinda like today only drugs ,free sex and more peaceful revolutions.:peace:.But they did have some great music.:thumbs:.Carly Simon,Alman Brothers, Charlie Danials, Eagles,and lots more .Plus thats when C&W was C*W music,Loretta Ltynn agrees,

 
I posted a Kingston Trio song, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" up there ahead of the Floyd. "Comfortably Numb" reminded me of Biden, thats why I posted it. I'm not trying to glorify taking drugs, LSD, etc.
I think the lyrics are a reminder of what drugs do that isn't good. Your lips move but I can't hear what you say. You are only coming through in waves.
