That was my thought! As bad as lsu looked last week I knew they'd be ready to play today. But, I didn't think they had anything for Florida.

This is twice now that FL has played their hearts out and come up short. Once takes a big toll on a team. I think they're done for the season. They're going to beat most teams they play but I don't think they have another "give it all" game in them.

3 times Bama, Kentucky, now LSU. Wish we had them later in the year.

Coach "O" is out at LSU... shame, last year was a losing season and things haven't been going well this year.

I saw his press conference. He'll coach til the end of the season, even a bowl game if they get one... Then he's gone.

Even though he has proven himself to be a fantastic coach, listening to him speak in interviews is positively painful because of his voice. :(
There will be many in mourning down here.

I have to post about this... I watched the Tennessee game in Knoxville Saturday night. The most disgusting display by fans I've ever seen, and I thought Athens was bad.

Edit to add... the fans interrupted the game for over 20 minutes before play could continue.

They should have cleared the stadium, switched off the lights and locked the gates... No fans allowed until next season.

I saw the play in question, I'm still not sure the call was correct even with replay.

But the fans didn't care, they just wanted to be angry! I think today's fans are a reflection of youth today! Rage! Its about their feelings instead of rational thought.

I first noticed this effect in Florida several years ago, they've gone through several great coaches since spurrier, especially the last few years. When it came to the football team and the coaches the administration let the inmates run the asylum.

In part, I think this is what's happening to Coach O in LSU.

This needs to stop, today!

Bear Bryant went 5-4-1 his first year in Tuscaloosa. Today, he'd have never seen a second season. Just think of how imbecilic that choice would have been in hind sight.

We won't have much to cheer about this year. Missouri is a .500 team at best. Everything is heading toward an Alabama/Georgia SEC Championship game, which should be exciting. My alma mater is dreadful, so I can only look for games that, on paper at least, look entertaining. I have not been disappointed this year.

Did the Administration or the Coaching Staff at Tennessee ever issue a statement condemning what was done? That is barbaric. I really hate to see that. Was anybody hurt? I wonder how many were arrested? Idiots, and more than likely, a lot of alcohol involved. I saw at least one beer can out on that field.

First year for alcohol sales at games. Big time police investigation looking for perps. Will lose any access to events for sure. Fines and jail time possible as well.
Haven't really been keeping up, but I expect coaches are raising cain over it.
Sounded like it was mainly student section.reminds me of fans stories going to games at the swamp and getting pelted. I sure hope we haven't sank that far.

O.K. maybe I have been living under a rock, but when did Alabama start the tradition of the victory cigar? I don't ever remember seeing that, and I have been watching Alabama football since before Bear Bryant started wearing a hat.

Last night it looked like they were lighting up some nice sticks. I would have been in heaven. Definitely have to add that to the bucket list.

I have no idea where this cigar tradition started. In fact, I had never heard of it until last night. I was wondering why a fancy cigar store opened next to campus this year. It looked out of place on the strip.

Speaking of Bama, I'm now convinced they are bi-polar. One moment they look like they belong in a class above college ball. The next moment no one can catch a ball, block, run a route or cover a receiver. The D-Line and backers looked good all night.

I think we have a problem with this years defensive coordinator. He's calling the wrong defenses. Several times last night half the defense were out of position. Half the defense out of position isn't sloppy play, they were out of position when the play started.

Anyway, for about 10 minutes last night Bama looked fantastic. The rest of the time they looked like the Keystone Cops. Of course we're talking about Bama... In 10 minutes they can destroy most teams.

I caught the last part of the LSU - Ole Miss game. Ole Miss looked really good.

Bama won big today against New Mexico St, 59-3. No starters played in the 2nd half. They looked good.

Auburn got beat by Mississippi St. It comes down to the QB with Auburn. If he plays like his head is on fire they win. When he has a regular day they get beat.

FL beat Samford 70/52, looked like they were going to get beat early.

Watching GA/TN and the MO/SC at the moment. Big game tonight... Ole Miss and TX AM.

Haven't watched the UT replay yet. After hearing the score I might not.
Ole miss game has been pretty good.
Glad to see Oklahoma lose. They aren't nearly as good as they typically are. Same with Florida

OK lost? Did not know, I think there were 3 other games on at the same time I was trying to keep up.

FL St beat Miami for the first time in 4 years.

Kentucky was blowing out Vandy early the Ole Mis game was more interesting.

Arkansas and LSU are in overtime... Arkansas just won... field goal in OT

I went to dinner with the 50 plus Sunday school class tonight.
Three ladies were talking College foot ball & of course South Carolina Gamecocks whipped out 14 points to tie the game then sit back & watch the other team walk away with the game. :(

Sorry Peanut. No bragging allowed when you play a JV team. Everybody is entitled to have a cream puff on the schedule somewhere. Georgia was impressive. Missouri beat South Carolina in a game of nobody is going anywhere. Two teams that are just above .500. 😝 I think the best game of the day was Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

I agree. I enjoyed seeing Baylor beat Oklahoma. What a goofy ending. Oregon is still alive in the West although I think they are overrated. I watched the Oregon/Ohio State game and I still don't know how Oregon won. They should have a real test next weekend against a ranked Utah team. Ohio State has been very impressive since the loss. They will have two big tests coming up with Michigan State and Michigan back to back.

Georgia looks like they are still the cream of the crop. Should be interesting. There are a whole bunch of one loss teams. The committee will have a real dilemma on who to choose. We will see who gets left at the altar.

Big MO beat FL in OT! That was a bit of a surprise.

Bama managed to squeak by with a win over Arkansas. Those boys played their hearts out, just kept coming back.

Gamecocks beat Auburn in a wild finish, there is controversy. One of those... the call on the field stood becuase the vids couldn't rule it out. I thought it would clearly be overturned.

A strange game really. SC found 2 plays that Auburn couldn't stop then ran then same 2 plays over and over again the entire 2nd half. I've never seen anything like it.

GA, TX am, MS State and Kentucky - demolished several little schools.

LSU looking shaky against UL Monro at the half... they could easily get beat

Good win for Missouri in an otherwise lackluster season. Surprisingly their star field goal kicker missed one that would have won the game in the closing minutes. Gutsy call by the coach to go for two in overtime to win the game.

Alabama was good enough again. They aren't impressive, but always find a way to win. Kudos to Coach Saban.

Two big surprises. Ohio State smoked Michigan State. Not surprised they won, but I think they were up 45-0 at half time. The other is Utah killed Oregon. That will shake things up. Brings a lot of one loss teams into the mix.

Honorable mention to Clemson who won convincingly over Wake Forest.

Can't wait to see Alabama vs. Georgia in the SEC championship.

It looks like Kirby Smart finally has an answer for his old boss Nick.

There have been times this year when bama looked great against very good teams. Even for a whole quarter. But I haven't seen them string 2 consecutive quarters together with good teams (maybe once). Other times they looked bi-polar the whole game. Great for a series, then the team from the parallel universe shows up. (where no one plays football)

GA has played great against quality. There have been times when the wheels came off the wagon for a couple quarters but Kirby manages to put them back on before the end.

I think GA is the favorite of the game.

Can I go out on a limb? Why not? We are all friends here. I will predict Georgia and Ohio State play the championship game. and it will be a barn burner. This is the most entertaining season I can remember in a long time. :clapping:

I'm thinking you're right, bums me out to say so but there it is. I guess my team have to wait for our 83rd national title . Just kidding, we should get a good bowl game this year though.

xichigan is headed for a reckoning next week. I have a feeling Coach Day hasn't forgotten Harbaughs comments last year. He is known to hold a grudge and last year he told the team we are going to lay a hundred on them before they chumped out of The Game .

Spoiler Alert!!!!

Ohio State bit the dust up in Ann Arbor Mich! Did not see this coming!!!

They didn't just lose, they got their butts handed to them! They were beaten soundly. They cannot stop a good ground game.
Glad you posted.
I couldn't believe I was about to miss the Alabama - Auburn game!
That could get me disowned!

Watched Mich/Ohio state with family. Big Mich fans. It was a great ball game. And yep couldn't stop the run. GA AND Bama would run all over OSU. But I'd say that knocks them out of the play off. If Mich wins championship game they are in

Looks like Bama bit the dust again... 2min left, just turned the ball over. They looked like crap all day. 10 penalties, no one could block, receivers dropping balls, just sloppy play.

Mich St even had a good day. The big mitt is celebrating everywhere.

What the heck happened? Anybody?

The last I saw Auburn was taking a knee, up by 7. It's now OT and bama is up by 7?

Edit, now 17-17 in OT?

Bama wins 24-22 in the 4th OT! Strange things have happened in this game my entire life. This has to be the strangest one of all time...
