A toddler crib mattress can be had far cheaper than a dog bed of comparable size, you just need to make a heavy cloth case for it. and

I bet they still make cloth/burlap sacks! Baby boy can sleep on the furniture, FURniture!

She’s due October 3rd. But I kinda look for her to be here around the end of the month!
The end of October I’ll be picking up a Dutch shepherd from down in Georgia. Needless to say I’ll probably have my hands full! Haha
But I’ll do better about staying in touch!

He reminds me of my old buddy Sarge. he was a Vietnam bring home. his papers say he was 1/4 timber wolf. I could ride him like a horse. LOL
Got my pillow all ready on the couch for a nap and......someone else got my spot!!
AND, hubby tried to take a nap a little while later!! Guess what happened?

120 pounds of protection! Shepherds and wolves are the only dogs I've ever gotten along with. ever time I get near a little dog, they try to go chainsaw on me, give me ten minutes with a dog near to being a wolf, we're buddies.
Got home early, making some lunch, Bear brought his pillow to join me!! I think his head is growing, maybe it will catch up with his ears!!
Aww... what a magnificent young dog!
My pup looked so funny as he grew, different parts of his body grew at different rates. Once his legs had a growth spurt. They were too long for his body, looked goofy walking around. Look at these stilts! And yes, his head grew at a different rate than his body.

That's too cute!! Bear's gotten longer in the body and his head has definitely gotten bigger. He has gotten taller too, but the length is more noticable!

Almost forgot to post these shots, but today I saw what looked like a German Shepherd wearing SUNGLASSES!!! Or SUN GOGGLES!!! Whatever the heck they were!!! I was at a red light when I looked over and saw this dog, so bear with me on the optics ID, lol. I snapped these two shots before the light turned green and some impatient sphincter behind me tapped his horn, lol... the dumb schmuck! Made me go even SLOWER, don'tcha know??? Anyway, here are the pics I took for ya, hope they will help you & others in the future! Perhaps during a sandstorm, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Many years ago when I was doing handyman work for a guy we bought our property from, ( he had a home real estate office), he had a renter that had some problems he wanted me to look at, anyway the renter had two dogs, a Rotty and a Poodle type small dog, when I came to talk to her the dogs were outside, the Rotty and I looked eye to eye and we were good, the little dog ran around a vehicle, came behind me and bit me in the calf, didn't know if I wanted to shoot the dog or the owner, I figured it wasn't the dogs fault and the owner didn't realize she had raised a little terrorist, that is not an uncommon situation with some small dogs, along with being annoyingly yappy.
My brother conned me into taking care of his wife's shitzuh for a week while they were OTR. the damn thing hated me and would stand on the back of the couch dog screaming me while simultaneously crapping and peeing all over the place. I'd just set down his Alpo and water and back out. well on day three the little B*tard ambushed me and bit the hell out of me, I dumped his food in the toilet and kicked the crap out of him for good measure and decided he could drink out of the toilet and to hell with feeding the ungrateful little S***. Two days passed and my brother came home, he was supposed to have been gone 10+. little creep got lucky is all I can say.
I don't think you understand ''BIT" as in bled like a stuck hog BIT!
No picture so as not to embarrass the poor boy, I put a sweater on Bear this morning! It got down to a stupid 43° this morning and we were going out to feed. I put on a sweatshirt and thought good time to see if he'll wear a sweater. I put an old pink one on him in case he decided to tear it up. My Dobe loved her sweaters so he has many that will fit him. He LOVED it!! He liked the rain coat a while back. He is NOT a working dog, he is a pet, so sweater pictures will be coming all winter!
Oh yeah you will. I have a Belgian Malinois and they are quite similar in smarts, prey drive, etc.

Okay, Pearl, I dunno if we have some other dog thread here at the site, but I'm just gonna post these Alamo 'Dogtoberfest' shots here, alright? Don't bite my head off, lol... pun intended for Magus after his DK 'DOG BITE' experience! That's the Dead Kennedys tune about a dog bite, I'll see if I can dig up a video link in a moment, since it's Saturday Night, I'm getting a buzz, and I have NOTHING BETTER to do, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm still kicking myself for not taking pics of some beautiful dogs in large cages or crates, they were up for adoption at this 'Dogtoberfest' I mention. Oh, well, we can't ALL be canine heroes, lol... you're talkin' to a CAT PERSON here, but I still like dogs, and had several good ones in earlier years, including a German Shepherd, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Welsh Corgi(s---several of 'em), and others. Alright, lemme do this so I can get on with making trouble elsewhere, lol...
Okay, the festival was larger than it appears in these pics, there was a long row of tents or stalls outside the compound wall, I just didn't bother taking pics out there because there were heaps of folks in the way, aye? I was kind of "on the fly" when I took these pics, you understand, as my priority mission at that time was to go bag more beer & whatnot at the store, lol. The first thing I saw after I parked 'The Mighty Camry' was that sweet Kawi rice rocket, lol... I guess they went BACK to calling 'em 'Ninjas' after some PC woketard period (with reduced sales, no doubt), pfffffft.
All those buildings on that historic downtown block were built circa 1900, the pool hall was formerly a bank building built between 1900 and 1902, I can't recall what year the gal said who runs it. That historic building with the wannabe-Russian-but-not-quite-making-full-onion-dome-status dates to 1903, I know the date in the pic is hard to read. I have that problem myself, reading dates, especially the BLIND ones, LOL. Love the 'Dog Breath Express' shot, that's a classic name! That little travel trailer was cool too! The awesome dragon stood guard in front of some business unrelated to the festival!
P.S. Check out the postage-stamp-sized "passenger seat" on the Ninja rice rocket, if THAT ain't "GENDER INEQUALITY" I don't know what IS, lol.
I'm just glad to see that 'Ninjas' are back... I reckon the 'Epic Darwin Failure Sidewalk Sissy' models didn't fare well in advertising & the cycle market, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Damn, I just hate it when that happens!!!

Any thread is a great place for adoption events! I have 4 cats my friend, 1 dog!! All precious critters need a GREAT home! Thanks for posting about dogtoberfest!!
Pity the "Adopt a liberal" program went so well, now we'll have to resort to spaying, neutering and euthanasia.
