Yes, this is true, they are over. I do see too many stories about women who work outside the home, come home and are also responsible for all cleaning and maintenance of the home while being criticized for not being able to maintain an immaculate home. Since I grew up as a child from the age of 6 being this person, the chief housekeeper and laundry person, while others sat and gave orders, or went about their merry way playing and having a good time with few or no chores, it is infuriating to me, and I refuse to accept that this is the way it works. I've always done way more than my share, but I've told a few people that this is over for me. I once traveled for several hours to arrive at a house to buy the food, do the cooking, told about child care and other expectations of me. When I got home from that trip, I had pneumonia. Never again. Too many takers in this world and the lack of equity in situations. This is a topic that bothers me, in case you didn't notice.
