I really don't remember my husband helping with any household anything, unless I count mowing the lawn. Then he didn't have to because our kids became old enough to do it. Funny, now he can barely walk, and can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time, but he can still mow, and does. Ride the scooter to the mower and he goes. I have to put the gas in. But when the man was working, he worked 24/7. Always. There comes a time then when spouses get old and one or the other can't do anything anymore, so the other has to do it all or hire in help. That's where we're at now.
