This photo is supposedly from Lake Tahoe. We all know how desperately this part of the country needs moisture.

Was visiting my friend and walked out the door and tried to figure out how his black kitten suddenly got so fluffy. Then realized its a new kitten.

Sweet baby wanted to be held and cuddled. Followed me to my truck and tried to get in. Had to get my friend to distract it when I left. LOL.

You are stronger than I am, I'd have "smuggled" it into the house after it saw the vet :D
 
There was an article in the news about 2 people being rescued, 1st pic. Their canoe overturned in the Cahaba river. As a young man I used to white water canoe in this same river during spring rains.

Get 2 or 3 inches of rain upstream and that river turns into a wild ride. I actually spent more time in the Little Cahaba river. A lot more white water, a great 2-day run, lots of rapids, bottom.

My brother saw the kitty today and wanted to bring it home too. It ran up to him as if he were an old friend. There are two black kitties over there and he wants to bring them both home. There's a fluffy orange kitty we want too, but she's in heat so that would be a bad idea.

I was sweating so I took my cardigan off and set it on the shelf. Gravy Jones found it (I desperately need to clean that wall but the paint started to come off last time-- need to find a gentler cleaning method).

IT’S ARGUABLY THE most beautiful fish in the ocean, but the mandarinfish (Synchiropus splendidus) has got so much more going on for it than all those pretty colours.

At home in the sheltered lagoons and inshore reefs of the Pacific Ocean, ranging from the Ryukyu Islands off the coast of Japan, to warm Australian waters, this little dragonet is covered in tiny spines to inject a toxic mucus into anyone who tries to handle and/or eat it.

I saw this lock on a car that was driving right in front of me. I had never seen anything like it before, but if you were a person who lost your key fob or locked yourself out frequently, this might be a good solution. Replacing a key fob is 100s of $.
