Same as everyday, sorting and packing. Today I get to add trash, too two bags of old magazines and catalogs out, along with the tiny bit of household stuff.

I have discovered an actual floor in my office, where it's not filled boxes :drink buddy:

An item of furniture from this house will be ready to move shortly, the first stuff that isn't new :p

The helicopters have been flying around our place again today. Our property goes quite a ways over that hill in the picture. I'm going to try and find out what company it is and what their plans are.

I am actually doing what I had sort of planned today, and having a Coffee, I always plan for that so at least something generally goes to plan. Also waiting for a bunch of stuff that I plasma cut to cool off so I can carry on

Went to the bin store, then got mom a milkshake, and one for myself, and went to visit with her. She ate it all today, which is a big improvement, she's losing so much weight. Bin store ended up having a 99 cent day today, unannounced. So I bought a good sized box of cut wood pieces and it had screws and everything, not sure what it was supposed to be...a shelf? Step stools? You're not supposed to open boxes there, they get upset, just saw thru a corner there were wood pieces. So brought it home for little granddaughter to figure out. No paperwork inside of it...she's on the porch with the wood, screwdriver, and lots of wood glue. She likes coming up with stuff. Also a large box full of disco balls. She can do something with those, and a box of four large painting canvasses, just to paint on. You never know what you'll find there. I found a box of baking pans, about 6 different ones, for the solar oven. Good find.

Went to HD, a local appliance store, then Lowes looking at an electric stove for the kitchen.
Ours is pretty old. One burner doesn't get as hot as it should, the hot burner light has been on for a few years and now the display is flickering. It's only a matter of time till it dies so it's time for a new one.
I bought a new Frigidaire glass top with an air fryer oven option.

I didn't get squat done today. I haven't slept well recently and although I didn't sleep in real late, I just couldn't get myself on track today. I was doing dishes this morning and I dropped my favorite glass measuring cup and broke it. Is it weird that I have a favorite measuring cup? 🤣 This evening I made red beans and rice with andoullie sausage and chicken breast for dinner. I did it the lazy way, with a pre cooked Uncle Ben's rice pouch, precooked chicken, and precooked sausage. All I had to do was heat it and season it. It was actually pretty good and very filling.

I am car shopping again. Not having two vehicles is a major problem because my livelihood depends on me being able to drive cross country, and I can't be borrowing a car when my main ride is in the shop. I need a reliable second, preferably one that's good in snow, gets decent MPG, and doesn't have a damned CVT transmission. I'm open to suggestions...
Pearl has a muddy mule 🫏 Doesn’t go very fast but gets great mileage 😂

Had a busy but pleasant day- mostly unproductive but good nonetheless. This morning drove to in-laws about an hour away to figure out how to alter their bed so FIL can get in and out of it. When they began making deep pocket mattresses they also increased the depth of the box spring so the beds if on an older frame now sit nearly at counter height. Drives me crazy 🤪. Ours is the same way. I say you need to get a running start. Well FIL got a new hip so no running for him.
Took a friend to a birthday lunch then we picked up our Azure order. Fun fun!

I finished the chiseling and digging for the footer. Ready for a form and concrete. Made a command decision that I will add a sump pump. We occasionally get some water in the subterranean part of our basement. It could encroach on the hobbit hole. Other options seen troublesome and time consuming. I get by with an AC condensation pump would work fine.

Tomorrow I am toying with a trip to the orchard to prune the fruit trees. The pear trees in particular are haunting my dreams. All of those water sprouts (?) need tamed.

The other day I took out all the kitchen and bathroom trash. My brother had crammed stuff down in the kitchen trash so the bag didn't want to come out of the can. Stuff spilled out when I was trying to get it out of the can (had to tip it completely over). So after I got the bag out I had to clean up the stuff that spilled. Cleaned the hallway too. Brother keeps kicking trash and bottles out of his room and Mom trips on it.

Cleaned up more of the kitchen-- its really cluttered up with junk and trash all over the floor in certain areas. Found a round tub and cleaned it out. Had cat pee all over it. Then I emptied out the kitchen sink. Brother had been piling crap into the sink-- including trash, wrappers, etc. I was only using one side. Put the stuff in the tub. Then I scrubbed the sink. Will need to get rust stains out in some spots. It's nice to have the sink empty now. But I found a bunch of spiders and some sort of weird red bugs that looked like a cross between beetle and roach.

Will need to finish more cleaning tomorrow or maybe even later tonight.

I got the estimate to fix my Tacoma today. The shop is milking the insurance hard. $3800 to replace the tail light assembly and replace the bumper cover. They said they had to repaint a spot on the tailgate and a spot on the fender. I swear they must have looked at it with a microscope to see a scratch. I checked it all and I found no paint damage. Oh well, just another reason for my insurance to go up...

Happy St Brigid's Day to you all. I'm not religious, but I'm delighted they finally recognized a female. They've made her feast day a bank holiday here.
Its tradition to leave a scarf out on the hedge, to be used to ward off sore throats throughout the year. Children make the St Brigid's cross in school today from straw or rushes.

woke up late today
weather looks ok so everyone is going out will take dog for a hike too
Will work some more on those taxes, I got some done yesterday. Looks like we made no money again last year oh well. We do make money, but when I take off our expenses there is not much left

not much else planned today

Oh I might start on collecting photos ( digital ones on various old computers and USBs) to make daughter a real photo album for her birthday. I know she only has digital stuff and if something crashes, there will be nothing left.
Hope she will like it. I will get her something else also ( lol another Temu order, got some nice shirts for very little money, so far my luck on that site is holding, everything got here and was as expected but I only spend very little money on each order)

Coffee and work this morning. Wellness walk at noon is dependent upon the weather, it’s fairly windy and rainy at the moment. I might bag the walk and add another hour of work. My youngest then takes over the rest of the daylight hours. After 3.5 years he finally gets his braces off today. He is so excited he can barely stand it. After his teeth are freed from the hardware, he wants to eat a sandwich with soft bread … Then we are back to the school for the honors ceremony for the first semester. He made the principals list (again). I still wonder what I did to get two boys that consistently make honor roll. The oldest had to work a little harder due to his tendency to be a procrastinator, but he graduated with a 3.7 last year. The younger is aiming for valedictorian, and is definitely in the running at the almost halfway mark (freaking over achiever!). We might eat out tonight, just depends on how long the hubby is out working.

Washed clothes today. Including my Leatherman that was in a pocket. Oh well, it's lint free now. Luckily it's all stainless - should be OK.

That sucker went through the washer cycle quiet and unnoticed. But boy did it make a racket in the dryer!
Hubby tends to keep a very clean pocket knife also 😖

Since it's a rainy day here I decided to finally put the door pulls on all my cabinets in the fur shed. On Tuesday I went down south for feed and lumber. I stopped at HD and bought another oak cabinet for the fur shed. Also picked up a hand held cordless vacuum for cleaning up my mess. The wife decided that she liked it, so now I guess it's hers. I'll buy another one next week. Next time I won't show her what I buy.

I used to be pretty good at math. Just realized that I'm 3 door pulls short to finish my cabinets. So next week I'll make the 200 mile round trip and buy 6 more pulls. While I'm there I'll buy one more 3 drawer cabinet. Plus I'll pick up another cordless vac, an oscillating saw, first aid cabinet and a 4" vice. I guess I need to make a list.
Last Tuesday I bought some oak boards so I can make a couple gun hangers and one to hang up my bow.

Got the major sleepies after husband's doc appt, and just did some reading. Have a bad time napping even if I'm sleep deprived. So another week and a half (at least) of the every six hrs infusion for husband. It's helped, but not enough yet. Sweet neighbor just had her little one bring over a loaf of fresh bread. We'll have it with dinner.

Here you go Amish. You've sure earned it.

PS - was going to say try to get some sleep but I know you will when you can 💕

I also had to run to Wally World and spend $15 on one of those little bluetooth things that plugs in the cigarette lighter and lets your old regular car radio stream music from your phone.
I have blue tooth built into my 2022 truck, don't know how to use it, but everybody who rides with me does.

Went to the RV dealers and picked up out trailer.
I had a few little things done under warranty.
Nothing major.
Drove my Aunt and Uncle to his doctors appointment so they could take out his catheter.
I have gotten over my urge to buy a truck.
The prices are insane and my truck does the job I need it to do so Ill just save the cash.

I got a fair way on my tractor project, got to try out the first half a little
