@DrPrepper sincerest condolences. My dad is 84, everyday I watch him age and worry.

Today I watched some great collage football. My nephew came by this afternoon. He and his son got my 27 year old fridge out to the edge of the porch. Do recycle people take old refrigerators?

Here is a pic of my new floor and new fridge... along with my ratty 44 year old cabinets and paneling... Love the floor, like the fridge... :)

I had to trim the bottom of my front door about 3/16th of an inch to clear the new flooring... I have an old towel blocking the cold air.

Round 1 of today is Tabatha the cat woke us up at 4.30 am in the morning, does this cat ever sleep  . She is getting used to the summer and sunrise earlier in the mornings but likely will settle down shortly.

So since we were already up  we washed both cars, vacuumed and detailed them way before it got hot which at the moment is about 8 am in the mornings as we are currently going to be 35oc today. I swept out the double garage while DH was washing his car and cleaned off the back veranda and DH has pressure cleaned it, taken down our umbrella there and taken down the privacy screens ready for our move.

Yesterday the maximum was 38 oC and we have major bushfires that were burning about 20km from where our new house is  . Fortunately the property has a fair windbreak away from the national parks there.

I loaded the washing machine for DH and he put it on and has just hung it out and is having a nap.

@MoBookworm1957 do have some felt or maybe plain cloth?

Heres a link to get some ideas for other foods using felt
https://ahappynest.typepad.com/a-happy-nest/play-kitchen/

And another one with 89 ideas
https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/diy-felt-play-foods-for-kids-1103910
Thank you so much for the ideas.
Definately like the tea bag one, already have muslim and red felt.
Now I have more ideas to do.Trying to keep it semi simple.
Have painted wooden eggs I got to use to darn socks, white and tan speckled for her eggs.
Cut out swiggly circles for fried eggs will be covering those in white felt, yellow yolks put a teaspoon or less of rice in them to give a little bit of weight.
My mom has now gotten into the act too.
My dad has donated his red hankies for chef's apron.
Mom has cut out small blocks from worn out tea towels for her pot holders and tea towels.
Going to be a family affair.

Work on my front porch more today. I now have everything finished with it except for the step rails, post, and painting. Goot figure out what I want the rails to look like. I'll probably just rout round overs on both edges of a flat 2x4. Also need to find or make 4 Newell post. Gonna hire out the painting as the wife and I are horrible at it. I'd rather pay a little and have it look good than save a few bucks.
Also put my solar charger on the tractor for the winter.

The Entrelac is so neat looking. Share a photo when you get something made.
Making Estelle dolly's crib a quilt out of Entrelac afghan.
Using up dib and dabs of small balls of yarn.
Killing several birds with one stone: Estelle's Christmas

That's only about 12 1/2 miles! I hope the wind blows it away from your place. Y'all stay safe.

@Terri9630 we are not in the house as yet and it is 45 minutes from where we are currently living but thank you but the new to us home is fully insured fortunately should all go pear shaped.

The wind is currently blowing in the wrong direction for the fire to hit the new house and has been downgraded although they are trying to set up more firebreaks today to slow the pace of the fire. So far no casualties from what I am hearing and it has missed housing areas and is mainly in the State forest.

Spent a good weekend with my daughter. We went to the movies. I get one more night with her and then a couple hours Tuesday after school, before she goes back to her mom and I start prepping for work in Cali. I got a cheap flight to Sacramento for once too, that's about as common as seeing a sasquatch.

Thank you all for the compliments on Estelle.
You'all notice she had a cone of thread.
She mocks me when I'm crocheting or doing needlework.
Gave her a embrodiery hoop with scrap piece of muslim in it,
No sharp needle though, just plastic dull one, she sat there for an hour.
She's kinda partial to yellow thread, and wine colored thread.
Then she bopped Strawberry upside the head with hoop for giving her a kiss.

Went early this morning and had blood work done for the doctor
Doing up some of my laundry
Gave the pups some leftover lunchmeat that got shoved to the back of the fridge. They went nuts over it lol
Plan on making a ham and swiss impossible pie for supper

Ran around our little town paying bills and picking up a couple of things. Made a dentist appt. for Thursday. I know I have at least one cavity, maybe two. Been having pain for a couple of months but it is worse now. I know it's silly, but I'm a big chicken! It will be good to get it or them taken care of. Did a little cleaning today.

I'm thinking I might need to rethink Entrelac crochet.
Maybe it looks better after you block it.
Mine is wocky jaw in places???
been working on Christmas projects:
Carrots coins done and in mini canninster, looks cute.
Working on peas and green beans now.
Made fabric yoyo about 6 inches across, cut out felt toppings for pizza, just got finish zig zagging around toppings.
Made potatoes out of fabric too, stuffed them full till they were firm with polyfil. embrodiering the eyes on, then will be done.
Pizza pan is made of cardboard covered tin foil about 6.5 inches diameter.
Blueberries will be done tonight too. Placed in little canninster.
Pretty much having fun with fruits and vegetables.
Long chain stitches of golden thread soaked in white glue, then dry will become pasta.

Today so far we have spread the last of the grass clippings on the garden beds and under the house so that is done. We emptied the 2 collapsible rain water tanks and I climbed in them to scrub them unfortunately 1 is had it so we dismantled it and took the filters, legs and top pieces and side supports of it as spares for the other one. We then broke up the sticks or hacked them with a tomahawk to put them in the bin, they were the under layer for our firewood when we had it here and no longer needed.

With the water in the rain water tanks I watered 3/4's of back yard lawns and gave all the canna and calla lilies in the side garden and DH with the remaining dregs in the bottom watered other bare spots in the lawns. I have put on a load of washing and hung it on the line to dry.

DH has changed our address with all the relevant bills companies etc for our move. Our large order for yeast and herbs has arrived and is in the kitchen in sealed boxes and they will go in our car as is when we move and we will unpack them there.

This afternoon we are going to town to pick up a few items groceries for easy meals and will pick up a friends trailer for tomorrow. This evening we will load both trailers with what we can fit in from the shed to take down to the farm to put in the sheds there tomorrow as we have a pre-settlement inspection then.

Still suffering badly from allergic asthma due to all the smoke, pollen and dust around at the moment but am working doing what I can when I have the breath. Looks like the new property we are moving into where the bushfire was near is safe as we just have an advice level warning from what I see on the local council website.

You're going to laugh at me.
And it's okay.
But I never realized until today little girls like to talk.
Being a mom of sons, they don't talk like little girls do.
Getting sons to answer questions with more than 2 words is next to impossible.
Trust me I know how sons don't like to talk. I raised 2 of them.
But little girls love to talk, I found out today.
Especially little girls who gets ahold of mom's cell phone.
Whom has Granny(me-picture) on speed dial.
Unfortunately Granny only understands about every 4 word.
Granny thought something was wrong when I got the first call at 0330 hours.
So threw clothes on, no teeth, hair wreck took off over there.
Estelle calmly talking to Granny on cell phone, she just wanted to talk.
Needless to say Granny and mom was not happy. But Estelle was, she got Granny to talk too.
So Granny stays long enough to put Estelle back to her little bed.
Goes back home justs gets comfortable, phone rings, not mom's phone number.
So I answer, she got hold of big sister's phone. This was at 0530 hours.
I get off the phone with her, call mom's phone to tell her to put Sis's phone on top of refrig.
Son gets call at work from Estelle. He calls me cause he can't get hold of mommy.
So I go back over there at 0730, big sis is leaving for school, mom can't find her phone.
Someone is looking all innocent, till I call mom's phone. Her butt rings, she put it behind her back, it's hanging out her diaper.
I call son back everything okay, but Estelle has case of phone ringing butt.
When son gets off work, I go back home for the third time.
I just got off phone talking to Estelle for the 5th time today.
Wednesday, she won't have a thing to talk about.
I'm heading to bed while I got a chance.
Everybody have a wonderful day,afternoon,evening,night.

That's great news, @MoBookworm1957 . her butt rings, you're a fun granny. I'm glad you get to enjoy a little girl.
Who knew little girls could be so orney.
I didn't, didn't have girls had sons.
Think what she'll have to save when I finally understand what's she saying.
Told her parents it was a bad idea to let her pretend talk to Granny on phone.

My dentist is a friend, his kids are in the same 4-H and archery group as mine and I still hate going to the dentist!
