Workers comp has made it so expensive that the last of the dependents closed this year. 35 + years with no serious loss injury and the safety people demanded $2million+ in upgrades, for a small operator that’s prohibitive. Now we have one less mill, not merous less job, I guess that is safer ...Only thing left in the area is a huge multinational and you can’t even get on the property.

I had a house with a deck hanging right over the Guadalupe River in Ingram Tx for a year or so.

I used to live along the Guadeloupe river. I also spent s lot of time floating on a tube going down that river.

I call him BOB. He shows no fear.

I had one of those in my backyard one morning.
Only time I ever saw him.
It took care of my feral cat problem real fast.
Went from 14 cats to 2.

A few years ago I was at a cattle auction when a young girl rode her full blood Arabian into the sales ring.
Nobody would bid on the horse, everyone was there to buy cattle.
Finally a guy bid $100 because she was crying her eyes out.
The auctioneer tried to get her to cancel the sale but she said she had no choice.
She brought another one in right after and it was the same story.
I really felt sorry for her but there wasn't anything I could do.

Such beautiful animals! I see them in parades and they are always such outstanding creatures. The way they move sets them apart from all the rest of the horses.
