Not doing much right now.
Seems I have a blood clot in my right leg that is giving me a fit right now.
Before anyone says anything......
I have seen Primary Care Doctor.
I am doing what he says.
I am wearing compression socks but fun ones..
Chicken legs, Hot pink with green frogs etc.
Sorry I don't seem to have black, white, beige personality.
I rest a lot it seems like with my leg elevated.
Iced and heat.
Am now on blood thinners.
I go back to Primary Care Doctor Wednesday.

Just did 3 sets of 20 pushups tonight. The 3am starts at work are robbing all my energy. I can't sleep more than about 4 or 5 hours when we start that early. My new position that I start next week is 6am to 6pm, hopefully it'll be better, but it's also an hour each way to the job site so I'll have to get up before 4:30am and won't get home until around 7pm. That doesn't leave much time or energy for exercise. It's a heavy physical labor job though so most days will be like a workout...

Gym day. Should've went yesterday but I fell asleep. Oh well...

1.3 mile bike ride out to Casey's for coffee 😉 Then back to the gym.

Pushups 5x12
Lat pulldowns 4x12
Face pulls 3x15
Sumo squats 4x12
Cable side delt raises 3x10
Rack pulls 5x6
Barbell military press 2x12

I can start out again with light weight workouts.
Hopefully the blood clot ultrasound will show good news that it's desolving.
Primary Care Doctor and I have mutally decided that Army Style 5 k's are out.
I can start walking 2500- 5000 steps until the test results come back.
After that we will decide on the next plan of action.

Work has been enough of a workout for me lately. But after a few days off, it's back to the gym

53 pushups
44 inverted rows
Cable side delt raises 2x12
Sumo barbell squats 2x10, had to give up on those because rotating my shoulder out to grasp the bar causes a lot of pain. Will have to use dumbbells or kettlebells in the future...

I haven't been "working out" since July 6th, but I have stayed active. Work involved running a lot of heavy hydraulic tools and swinging sledgehammers. On my days off, I've done a fair amount of walking and biking. I've been lazy about recording it, and it hasn't been anything that pushed my limits, but for example a couple days ago my daughter and I biked a little over 5 miles and followed that up with a 1.1 mile nature walk in the same afternoon.

At the hotel yesterday - 20 minutes on the exercise bike and 15 minutes on the elliptical.

Back at my home gym -

Was short on time so I had a very basic workout.

Bench press 5 sets
Bent over rows 3 sets
Rack pulls 3 sets

Started in with a personal trainer 3 weeks ago.
It's been killing me but I feel so much stronger. Upped my protein intake even more and started taking supplements.
Getting swol 😄

Bench press 4x8
Rack pulls 3x8
Overhead press 2x10
Supinated grip lat pulldowns 3x12
Rear delt resistance band pull aparts 2x15

33 minutes on the exercise bike...

Embarrassing to admit but I have the lung capacity of a gnat so decided to start running. Ran down to the river and back which is only about 3/4 ml total but my lungs were toast by the time I got back up here. Will be good if I can keep it up.

Was up early yesterday so I did 1.8 miles of walk/run on the treadmill.

Today was lifting:

DB Bench press 4x12
DB Bent over rows 3x12
DB Overhead press 4x12
Goblet squats 3x12
Rear delt flyes 3x12
Bodyweight reverse lunge 1 set to failure

What is one set to failure?
