I love the guitar in this song. The whole album was really good.
One of Skynards finest
I like this version better than the Allman Brothers version.
Some really good pickin in this one.
And a goodie from the mid 70's. I've got this concert on the DVR.
I'll get off my roll for tonight with one final song. Hope you all like it.
Back P, Do you play guitar ?
One of my favorite crooners, Dean
We could all learn from this song, LOL
Now that's funny! All I can play is the radio. Wish I could, but no talent prevents that.
Me too ,hubby plays guitar, keyboard, drums but I just play radio.
GG&HT is the Outlaws' best, but I think this is a close second. Hughie Thomasson died just a few weeks after this show...
I agree Spike. GG &HT is an awesome song. Outlaws were a really good group, just not overall as popular on the radio.
Hughie played with The more recent version of Skynard for a period before he died to. I always enjoyed his picking.
I really like Rogers an Hammerstein songs and sound tracts.
George M. Cohan song, James Cagney one of the greatest dancer's .
I was putting up a song by these guys and this one came up too.
Here is a good tune from a Canadian band from the 80's. The entire album was really good.
And my favorite Thin Lizzy song.
Below reminds me my mama playing the piano.
LYRICS for VThil and TMT
@VThillman do you remember this song?
who are these people?
here are the lyrics
Seven long years, I waited for you
You played your games, I played
While I wait for you
Courting calls and lots of hurt
Girls are crying and I'm lying in
Trying to make this work
I'm a big jerk, fooled by your smirk
Pulled out your gun, shooting me
Right through the head, oh, just
Like I deserve
Throw me to the curb
All them old folks
Gathering round me
Point and laugh, oh, white they
Watch me bleed
I'm starting to believe
This is not a dream
Burry me, in the cold hard ground
Throw my body in
While I'm lying down
Then you steal my crown
Before you leave me
Lying in the dirt
Take off my boots
And give em to the herd
All them sad words
Beaten and disturbed
Take off my boots
And I will love you
Good eagles tune you rarely hear on the radio
When C&W was country and western, before pop country, rockabilly and even rap country came in.
Willie fans kinda made Meryl look bad
