This reminds me of West World a 1970s or so film.
One day these robots will take over. AI needs limits.
In some areas we are getting too smart our our britches.
You heard that Jim?
We draw the line at brain-implants!

My wife's aunt has one. She has to recharge it daily.
(of course, it only keeps her from shaking like leaves blowing in the wind:rolleyes:).
But we will never know it's true power, until her eyes start glowing red.

Not saying its all bad, just saying we need to have limits.
I have family with pacemakers and they are just one of great medical advances.

But robots taking over billions of jobs may not be such a good thing.
IMO it just means more need for treatment if nobody has anything to do but serve technology.

:D Not to worry, I'm living proof that people are needed to repair the machines.
Lots of people.
More people than they have.
Just one broken wire and they sit dead for weeks.
......and each one has LOTS of wires:eek:. They are still our slaves.

On topic: What am I doing today? Not-fixing damn machines:).
@snappy1 sounds like you need a nap. They are not illegal.

Same here. Work, eat, sleep. Start all over again
Don't worry. A new life awaits you in retirement:

I'm living proof:).
You just have to make it to the finish line.
Work safe.

Today was a bit of an easy one and we went down to the back lean-to shed and brought up some more split firewood for the slow combustion stove.

We had planned to finish the wire off on the garden bed enclosure to close the front off but instead I sewed another set of curtains for the back large sliding door and DH took the old blinds down and put up curtain rod holders. After I sewed them we hung them and DH put the ends on the rails.

Tonight's dinner is harvest long life meat and vegetables on a bed of rice.

It's funny how quickly one falls into the same-stuff-different-day pattern. Other than the usual all I have going on today is that I need to sight in a red dot optic, go through my work vehicle and put my gear where I want it, and a short meet & greet with some of the people from the communications division. Then after dinner I have an elementary school orientation event with the youngest.

9 quarts of tomatoes in pressure cooker/canner right now with onions, peppers, garlic, salt and peppers simmering away.
Got second batch of spaghetti sauce in slow cooker right now.
Got 1.5 dozen ears of corn fixed, seasoned, vacuumed sealed, dated, in chest freezer this morning.
Got cantaloupe cut up in refrig this morning for snacks tonight.
Run off my cousin and her unruly grand daughters this morning.
Her youngest grand daughter (4) copped a squat peed in my living room floor.
She just sat there like a dummy. Then she wonders why nobody wants those girls to come by to visit.
Her youngest grand daughter got spanked, she had to clean up that mess she made it.
Cousin got told to leave and don't bring them back.
Cousin wanted me to put Strawberry in her kennel while they were here.
No, Strawberry lives here, you're just visiting and not for long.
So while I was busy doing something else.
She took upon her self to put Strawberry in her kennel.
Didn't go over well with me or Strawberry.
Strawberry got let out of her kennel.
Cousin and her unruly grandchildren were escorted to the front porch with the door closed in their faces.
What a day!

Mobbook, sounds like your really getting things done,.
Does that mean the knee surgery was very successful? Hope so.

If she drop-kicked the cousin out the front door, I'd say that's a yes.:great:

But thank you for asking.

Working on the house and keeping an eye on the kid. Her blood sugar crashed last night and she fell out of the dining room chair and fell in the hall heading go bed. Her BP and heart rate have been eratic today too.
Sure hope you get a handle on that soon.

Today we caught up with a bit of housework and folded up 3 loads of washing and put it away and DH washed the dishes, cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away.

We then went to the back shed and stacked the split firewood in the lean to shed and checked on the logs splitter to see if if is leaking oil and it might be but will have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out for sure as DH hadn't cleaned it from refilling it with oil so there may have been some residue there. Didn't get around to putting the wire on the front of the garden beds as DH had a nap for back pain so maybe tomorrow.

Tonight's dinner is a chicken stir fry with beans and champignon mushrooms.

My face is like someone stuck me in a microwave and is painful so I pulled out of going to church this Sunday and a friend was kind enough to mark the attendance roll for me.

Sewing, do you have to mark the attendance roll when you're not there? (Now I'm singing, "When the Roll is Called up Yonder...") Ha.
Had a late evening with sis and mom for dinner. Mom is driving us both crazy. Sis flies home to Florida this afternoon, but told mom it was in the morning, so she'll be over soon for breakfast. Cousin and her crew will all be here for breakfast soon. The guys go into town with my husband today and do guy things, like go to Loews and Tractor supply. The ladies stay and visit, and then we might clean the windows. Just found out the new windows we put in "pop out" from the inside for easy cleaning. Never saw anything like that in my life.
Four year olds that pee on the floor are annoying. Good you booted them, Mo.

Yikes. I hope they get this all figured out so that poor girl can get the right treatment. Continued prayers for healing.

Hope things turn around for the child soon. I always mention all my forum buddies in prayer too. :huggs:

My goodness Sewing.Hope it gets better soon.:huggs:

I liek these little hugs it lets people know your thinking of them.

Today is another day of procastranating. And talking on phone to my old fiend of 50 years who is sick with cancer. Its hard getting old. I have what I call true friends on this earth and all of them are old fiends.

Thanks y'all. The Docs are trying. It really freaked hubby out. I hadn't realized that he'd never seen her faint or fall before. He's been on swing or night shift for the past year and hadn't seen her in the late afternoon or evenings when it seems to be worse.

Tomorrow we will be wrapping up week 3 of homeschooling. Roo is focusing better and everyday we are getting more done in less time. Most days we are done with everything by lunch. This lets us spend more time goofing around or getting out of the house chores done.

I am pushing for Roo to take her time when she has to write because her penmanship sucks! Last year in the public school her teacher could not read her writing so Roo wasn't getting credit for correct answers or completed work. So if I see she is slipping back into messy writing I make her re-do the entire paper until it is neat.

We also figured out that she is a little bit of a genius and a slacker. She had tons of uncompleted work last year because she learned early on she could run out the clock and not have to do much if anything at all in class. Not true with home schooling. I will have her stay at the table doing her work until it is completed 100%. The first time she tried to run the clock she ended up staying at the table until after dinner working on the project. K had to take over so I could get dinner cooked and my evening chores done.

My folks were worried about me home schooling because they thought I'd blow my top with Roo (she knows how to push my buttons.). So far we are getting along better than we have in years. I know I have K's full support but it would have been nice to have my folks vote of confidence before the year started.

So I have been working on getting the rest of the school year planned out complete with photocopying and supplies gathered. So far I have up to Thanksgiving done. It is hard trying to stretch everything out for at least 35 weeks. I might just add a few more 3-4 day weekends to give us the full time. Poor public school kids hare in school for 46 weeks.

Good on you to home school. Glad Roo is learning so many public school children don't learn much academics and too much other stuff.

I don't know how you do it. I would be so concerned. I am sure you are. I hope the doctors can figure something out soon.

Often really intelligent children and adults figure out how to play the game and it isn't always in their best interest. I have seen some games, and I am sure I missed some things. There is always a cheater or two in the mix, and who are they cheating? Themselves.

I believe you can do this and do a great job of educating Roo and Juju. You have my vote of confidence. I know this will be in Roo's best interest at many levels.
