Make sure it doesn't have Xylitol in it as artificial sweetener. Bad juju for doggos.
Sorry Guys. I do not share your passion for Goobers. I had boiled peanuts once. They barely stayed down. Why would you ruin a good peanut by boiling it?
When done correctly they are hard to beat, lol. I used to hit a guy up in Florida, he would set up on the side of 441 and he made the best boiled peanuts.
Peanuts ae best roasted with honey and brown sugar
Peanuts should either be in PB, candy, (peanut brittle is the bomb), or roasted. A little chili lime seasoning on the roasted peanuts is fantastic!

I usually eat dry roasted and salted peanuts. I do like peanuts that have been dipped in milk chocolate, but I do my best to avoid sugar, so I haven't had any in quite a while.
Love me some peanut butter! On my longer hikes I remove about 1/4-1/3 of peanut butter and add chocolate protein powder and granola.
Never grown it but grew up hunting south ga farms. Boiled peanuts were a tree stand staple. And hunting over a peanut field is so easy it's almost cheating.

I've tried growing them before, but have not had success. Maybe people in the South would have better luck.
I don't like boiled peanuts. But love them raw straight outta the ground, or roasted, or salted. And PB of course, and some J thrown in for good measure.
They are pretty easy to grow and harvest as well.

I wish I could do my own Goober Peas, but they never seem to come out right. I'm fortunate that I have a party store about 10 miles away that sells them. Not a steady diet of them because of the salt, but every now and then..........
Jim we've grown them in clay around here. Never really had any problems with them. But they do better in looser soils.
How do they say in the south......."cain't argue with that".
I never could get a good crop in this KY red clay.
I grew 1 row in black loose soil once, and got almost 2 bushel .
Crazy , gave away peanuts to whole neighborhood.

I'm not much of a fan of salt. I dump my salted peanuts in a colander over the sink. I then stir, shake, and swirl the peanuts till the desired amount of salt is removed. I then put them back in the container.
Peanutbutter is my most favorite food in the whole world! The common answer to the stranded on an island and can only have one food answer is usually pizza. Not for me - creamy peanutbutter

That is the problem. Lots of clay in Colorado soil.

I had pigs years ago....guess what , this guy will never own pigs again.
Love to eat em, but too destructive to raise em.
Their dumber than a rock too.

O.K. I hate to break this to you, but last night I made a PB&J sandwich. The peanut butter was the Wally World brand, Great Value, and it tasted fine to me. I could not tell the difference from a premium brand.
Now, that said, this is just me. If it is something I like (peanut butter would be in that category) there is very little you can do to it to make me not like it. If it is something I don't like there is nothing you can do that will make me like it. This is a repeatable scientific experiment.

The main satisfaction in eating home grown pork is knowing that this tasty critter you're eating was such a PITA to raise and you're getting the last laugh when you're chowing down on those pork chops. I hate pigs with a passion. But, to quote John Travolta in Pulp Fiction...

Got a good deal on Peter Pan pb, bought 5 jars.
Have 15 jars of peanut butter, thinking I'm good for a while.
If I run out of PB, the dog is gonna go nuts, it's his absolutely most favorite treat.

Dear Crosby took her meds with pb for a little while, and then one day, nope. Then she got her meds in cream cheese and never refused them. I bought a jar of pb just for her, and kept it at daughter's place. i wrote her name on it so it wouldn't get eaten by someone else. She didn't get it often, but once in a while she would get some in her Kong. That kept her busy until it was gone, not long.
Peanut butter fudge, cookies and in those no bake chocolate oatmeal drop
cookies , yes although I don't make that stuff now that the kids are grown. Now, the only thing I use it for, is baiting mouse traps. A small jar will last a lifetime for that.
