I only watch it on tv. no way am I going to spend that kond of money to go to the stadium. hubby went to an Alabama/Auburn a few years ago . His boss at the time was a big Auburn fan and had season tickets. somebody in the family couldn't make the game so he offered it to hubby. Didn't cost him anything to go.

"faired" is not underlined on your port that I'm viewing....but my reply has a red squiggle line under all three "faired". I'd guess the Forum's spell checker doesn't like it?

Yep that artificial intelengence is getting very pushy these days.:eek: AI is taking over our jobs too ,at GM back in the 1970's robots started replacing people in the assembly lines. Now the whole plants is robots. So far none of them has called their labor union rep far as I know.:rolleyes:

Union Labor is expensive. I believe it was in the 1980's that the Japanese Autoworker was paid half of what the American Autoworker was paid and still produced twice as many cars as the American Autoworker. Explains how they could ship scrap metal to Japan, make a car and shipped it to the U.S. and still under-sale U.S. made AND have better quality.

Raise minimum wage to $15? Customers aren't going to pay $10 for a single fast food processed hamburger. Close the business or replace some employees with customer self ordering or...?

Not to dispute what you have been told but this is impossible for a human to do. After you got in about 10 years the jobs did get a little easier.

I don't know what kind of androids they had in Japan but I can bet you they didn't make twice as many autos unless they had robots or machines.

I had one and half minutes to load a 65lb. power bucket seat, tuck in carpet under seat and then fasten it with washers, bolts while standing on my head. And I was fast always blessed with natural energy. And the frame line was even worse and very dangerous connecting the body to the frame with giant ribbit guns pulled down from ceiling.
The line stops for nobody.

That is true of any job these days. If there is not someone breathing down some people's necks, they will not be on task.

That is also true of many children in schools.
 
Oldest daughter went to court today. The judge gave her temporary custody of her grandchildren until a permanent court date is set. I'm really glad she was able to step up and do this. At the same time it makes me sad that she had to do it. I really feel sorry that grandparents have to do something like this, because they have already raised their children and can't be just a grandparent.

The better quality was actually so important. In this day and age, you can buy crap for a cheaper price, or you can buy quality and have it last so much longer. It is the cheaper price that makes people think that is the thing to do.

I saw an article a while ago about how the cheaper stuff that is sold at Walmart, by the same companies that sell it at higher prices other places, is not made to last as long. Buy an appliance at Walmart, such as an instant pot, and people have been known to be disappointed.

It's not just the labor. Japanese manufacturing processes and operating procedures were light years ahead of Detroit's. Now American car companies have emulated Toyota's efficiency and the quality has risen a lot.
 
Dear Universe,
I've been thinking occasionally A lot about Nothing lately and how humans want to venture into space. To clairify, Nothing as; NOT in the concept of being in a blank sorta state of mind, but that the perception of "Nothing" really cant exist because you have to have existence of something. So where or in what mindset in whom made up the concept of "Nothing" my mind wonders..
There is always something , vibrating, existence, energy, vibrations of life abound in and out of our human perceptions. The human psych often fails to remember or perhaps recognize that what we are made of is in the same stuff that made the tree I'm looking or this computer. Soul, consciousness, the Spirit is what most would agree is that which seperates my glob of atoms and whatnot that make me different from the computer or tree.
Perhaps, if humans want to be galatic citizens though.. we should try to expand our perceptions of what is or be open to potential realities. All day at my job..I am part of a process of cutting up trees. Now don't go and think I'm one of those cumbobuyyah hippies n all that...just gets me to thinking we as a species so easily justify utilizing a once living rescource. So, at some point we venture into space with the same mindset and *uck with the wrong tree. Without evolution in thought and careful consideration I wonder if we will screw up what could be an epic adventure for our kind.
This brain storm started when I asked how the hunt went with a coworker and he stated he saw "nothin". So, being me I had to screw with him a bit and asked if he feel into a coma or something and how he seems to recovered well and fast. He became very confused..lol..until I asked him "ok, what do you see right now?" "forklift, stars, lumber..ok I get what you mean.."
I then proceeded to eat my cashews..and my mind bending began..
lol..
