    Howdy all,
I'm looking into meat rabbits. I would build a 8x16 insulated shed with venting. I was wondering what methods you guys use to keep the waters from freezing, unless I just switch the frozen one in the morning and switch again after work like chickens

I don't have rabbits but used to use a heat lamp to keep water from freezing.

We just swap out the water dishes a couple of times a day.

I'm curious...is the temperature of the water in the heated bowl just above freezing or is it kept much warmer?

IDK. but just above freezing seems to be best, as the greater the diff between ambient air temp. and water temp. would hasten the heat loss, and up the power usage.

I have a question, how cold does it get in the area you live in,

I raised meat rabbits when living in MI, and believe me, the winters there are harsh. I used to keep a tub of water in the bunny barn with a tank de-icer in it. Having two water bottles per cage, I'd put the frozen ones in the tub, and replace the thawed ones on each cage. This worked well for me.
