Trying out a "plant based diet" that's recommended by other cancer survivors.
I went shopping for plant based groceries and then blotted my copy book by buying sausage rolls and a coke from a bakery on the way back to the car!
Whooops!
I utterly despise the vegan cult which is a bastion of hangry attention seekers, hysterical teenage girls and pasty beta soy boys.
One of my more pithy Uncles said it best.."How do you know there's a vegan in the room? Don't worry! They'll tell you!"
I have been trying plant based plain soy Greek style yoghurt which tastes ok- when compared to wallpaper paste and elmer glue, various nut milks and I have to say my pelvic radiation/ colon HATES them and duly makes me pay in spades for the insult by having me doubled over in pain, sweats, bloating, gas, cramping and unstoppable liquid bowel motions.
No one light a match!
I still haven't tried the gastro stop yet.
I have to admit that I'm terrified that I'm going to give myself a bowel blockage and end up in the hospital.
I'm figuring out that the majority of my pain now is associated with bowels.
Also I've also got a pretty good gut feeling that the pelvic radiation has thrown me head long into fully blown menopause.
Trying to figure out if the temperature spikes are menopausal hot flushes or cancer fevers.
There is a very good possibility it's both and the little cynical voice in my head says "That's just the way I roll. Why have something simple and straight forward when I can have layers of complications! "
And that voice in my head would be right.
A blood test would give a clearer picture as to what's happening but it's not as if they could do anything about either.
HRT - hormone replacement therapy, is associated with a lot of female cancers and a lot of HRT's are derived from pregnant mare urine.
These horses are kept in filthy conditions in tiny pens like battery chickens and bitches in puppy mills.
I'm just going to have to grit it out like every other woman before me has done.
