Nice find! Is it just me or do you think there might have been a different chimney system at one point?
That's kinda what I was wondering- or if perhaps it had a "kick out" for the hearths that you could walk in.The blocks probably failed and had to be repaired. You see that often on block and brick houses with chimneys up the sides.

Old/historical houses that's true. New building codes have the chimney so insulated, any residual heat goes up and out. The codes are for fire safety but too bad there isn't a balance so the heat could actually help heat the upstairs.I picked that one because of the chimneys.

Wow! I like the lines often found in tudors. This is an intriguing find. Some elements appear newer some quite old. Stone portion almost looks like an old chapel. Do you know where it is? Sign reads "Beechtree" ??? I might have to save a copy of that one.
