Caught a break today… I went to the auto parts store in the little town to get a coil pack for the replacement HEI distributor I bought long ago. Knowing how I think… If I bought a spare distributor, I would have bought a coil pack but sometime since 2013 the coil pack must have gotten lost. A new one was only $25, not too bad.

I caught a break on the K&N filter. On the way to town it clogged up again so I had it with me. The guy at the store checked my account. As it happens that filter had a lifetime warranty and the record of me buying was still in the data base. So, they swapped out the $64 filter for free! It’s nice to catch a break every once in a while.

It’s supposed to sunny the next couple of days. I guess I’ll spend the time changing spark plugs, wires, distributor and coil.

Took the kids to 0 period jazz band at 7 this morning (normally husbands job). Will have to do that all week. Cleaned out and fed all the animals. Son came over and butchered the rabbits, which freed up a large run, so it was cleaned out and in went 30 young chickens that were on the porch and in the house. Porch was cleaned out and readied for more from the house to be moved out tomorrow. About 20 more that are indoors ready to be moved out. On Mother's Day, after the big butchering went on, we had room to move out 14 turkeys. Our house smells much better, except for the onions, which are day 3 in the dehydrator. Took granddaughter to American Heritage Girls party this evening. Been busy waiting on husband today. He has an appt tomorrow to get his catheter out, so I'll take him to that.

Today we went grocery shopping for the month and got our staples but didn't spend all of our budget as there was very few specials on the things we need to stock up on so I will wait as we have a stockpile we can draw from. It appears the supermarket has a shortage of eggs at the moment so we bought an extra dozen just in case as our friend who usually supplies us is out of eggs too probably because the weather is getting cooler and the hens are moulting.

DH also had his physiotherapy appointment and came home and went to sleep for an hour as the sessions tend to wipe him out. We have just dated and put away all the staples. Just bought in the clean washing off the clothesline.

Tonight's dinner is homemade hotdogs.

...My American Legion commander has now instructed everyone in the post not to talk to me.
It would have been simpler just to answer my 10 yes or no questions...

I have a Co-worker that has numerous times tried to dump their projects on me. Projects that the co-worker has royally screwed up. He tries to shame me by complaining that I'm hard to reach, unsupportive or trying to make him look bad. It can't soaked into his thick skull how little I care what his opinion of me is. And like it appears with "your" Commander, they have too many skeletons in their own closet that they refuse to admit and want kept concealed.

Got caught up on some laundry
Dishes are done until supper
watered the herbs in the window boxes on the front porch ( they're out of the weather so they don't get rained on normally)
Cool here ( 50's) and windy and the rain finally stopped. another 2 inches. I've lost count how much that makes now. Was down in the low 40's at night so I had to turn on the pellet stove again. Gonna be chilly again tonight.
Supposed to get up in the low 70's tomorrow ( we'll see lol)
Have to get to the grocery store before thursday. they have bacon on a BOGO deal. and I need to get to the dollar tree store too to pick up some things this week.
the local restaurant supply store is having its Memorial day sale for 2 weeks. I want to get to that also soon

I can't eat hotdogs. They do nasty things to my intestinal system. yuk lol

Took the kids to Jazz Band rehearsal at 7 this morning. Took care of animals, moved another 13 chickens outside, now just 20 babies inside. Took husband to the hospital to have catheter removed. From the look on his face, it wasn't pleasant. Went to greek food for lunch. Yummy. Have laundry and cleanup to do, band concert to be at this evening. Get things ready to go to work tomorrow.

@Terri9630 no secret recipe as it is one beef sausage cut in half and cooked, scrambled egg, slice of cheese wrapped in a shop purchased hotdog bun. This is one of our lazy meals :) .

@hiwall you could be right on the meat it could well be cooked tofu to disguise it :D .

@The Lazy L you are so very close :) to the actual meal.

Sausage? I thought maybe you had a recipe to make the dogs..

The parts saga continues... The coil I bought yesterday... the wrong one even though the parts guy swore up and down it was correct. So I drove back to town, I had other small errands to run. One guy was helping then another more experienced guy took over. In the confusion they forgot to refund my money for the coil. I didn't realize until I got home... no biggy, I called and the return without the refund is in the computer, so, next trip to town...

I ordered the correct coil for my distributor from Summit racing. It will be here in a couple of days.

I solved another issue... Even though I got a new K&N filter out of the deal it wasn't the problem. Last friday I added a can of Sea Foam to my gas tank when I filled up. Its a very good fuel system cleaner. Evidently a piece of trash got dislodged and was holding the choke closed intermittently. This was causing the engine to flood badly. A half a can of Gunk carburetor cleaner and that problem was solved.

For doing a lot this week I sure haven't gotten much done. :(

More gardening today where DH put metal pipes under the footpaths and ran 13mm poly pipe across to where we are going to plant strawberries and raspberries and the main line of polypipe will be 19 mm and branched off to the 13 mm poly connected to 13 mm drip irrigation hoses to water the gardens with. He then put on a load of washing in the washing machine and hung it out on the clothes line to dry.

DH then tilled the areas where the other garden beds are going to be and while he was doing that I was raking over so far 2 garden bed areas to get rid of the grass out of the beds. We have one garden bed set up but still need to put manure and soil into it. Lots more to do but at least we have a start. I also ordered our wool insulation batts we will need to insulate the roof cavity with.

Lunch was ham and cheese sandwiches and dinner a serve yourself with whatever you want to eat.

Thrift store this morning and then TSC for goat feed. At the first thrift store, there was a treadmill for $188 but the guy didn't want to get it out so I could see how and if it worked unless I was pretty sure I wanted it. Went to next thrift store and nothing. At third store I bought one for $40. Checked it out and works good. Thinking someone got rid of it because it was taking up room. So glad to have gotten one and for so little! I've been looking for a few months. I have been hitting 10,000 steps almost every day for the past 4 months or so. New goal with the treadmill to get on in the evenings--15,000 a day. We will see how it goes.

Went to doctor appointment this morning.
Pretty good check up.
Seizures are changing somewhat.
Gained a little bit of weight, so back to closely watching what I eat.
So now have 36.5 pounds to loose to reach high end of Army weight.
Strawberry had another Emergency Room Vet appointment today.
Oldest son came over to let her take care of her business while I was a doctor.
She was lethargic, couldn't hold her head up, had both ends going.
He got her cleaned up, outside, cleaned kennel before I got home from doctor.
He met me at door. I held her all the way to Vet's.
She was crying like she was in pain again.
Doc (Vet) got her to calm down, finally.
Since she has been on her new doctor approved diet she has dropped little bit over 10 pounds, in 3 months.
She's still a little bit heavy for size and age, but we both get more exercise now.
Doc drew blood today for toxicology report on Strawberry.
Seems she has been nibbling the unknown plant from Mom's funeral.
It's poisonous to dogs, cats, small children.
So got all the leaves cleaned up.
Doc pumped her stomach, gave her laxative to help finish cleaning her out.
Next week will be testing her toxicology again.
Total for Strawberry's emergency room visit:$150.
Breakdown: 2 toxicology blood draws $120
1 office visit $ 25
toenails clipped free
Contribution for treat jar $ 5
Will be making payments for Strawberry's vet bill for awhile.
But at least I now know what's going on with her.
All plants toxic to my dog or grand daughter going outside or somewhere else.
Son also used gallon bleach cleaning kennel, he just threw bedding away.
She smelled good, she should have he gave her bath in my body wash.
But am glad she's all right now.
She smells like cucumbers, mangos,kiwi
Doc suggested Pep bo( pink stuff for upset stomach tonight, tomorrow.)
Just what I want to look forward to pink poop.

I did a bit more composting today, made a new firing pin for my brother's 20 gauge, reloaded some ammo for testing my new gun, cooked meals and I am now sat down eating it.
