Neb or anyone who has blackberry seedlings.
"Most of the time was up-potting the blackberry seedlings. "
Have any blackberry seedling produced berries yet?
My BIL had some blackberries someone give him, he potted up the the whole berry, just to see what would happen.
He used a hand full of berries & got a hundred or so plant that he sold for five dollar each in 3" X 2" pots.
He gave me the last fifteen, because he need the room on his potting trailer.
They are only about eight months old & I am wondering if they will make fruit & how close to the parent plant they will be?
This is my first year attempting to grow blackberry from seed and they are only 5" tall now.

I have had fallen fruit from thornless blackberry sprout and grow blackberry with thorns. The fruit from them bigger than the thornless parent.

10 more bench grafts done so my root stocks has all been used and now planted in nursery bed in garden.20 total now finished.

Still had some time so i grafted two scion on fruit trees i have.Replaces a failed graft from last year on one.

My $5 flowering crab tree experiment is turning out fine. I see grafts starting to bud out from last year.Only one failed on two trees.I probably ad a few more in next day or two and have tree a real fruiting tree and not just for show.I couldnt let them $5 trees die and not try to graft on them just to see if it would work.

Plenty more grafting to do...thats 22 grafts so far.

@Bacpacker that sounds like cabin logs.

My neighbor has a lot of Pines on her corner about five acres that were planted in the 90s and have never been thinned past the clear out of seedlings.

I would love to thin the patch, it would build a great cabin.

We are just back from uptown and tired of waiting and shopping and all of the other stuff that goes with it.

Bought 6 cart wheels from Harbor Freight for the two wheeler and a wagon, they are no flat and will fit in place of the ones that I have to air up every time I start to do something with either of them.
Harbor freight had them on sale for about 8 dollars Even on Amazon they were about 14 dollars.

I am getting ready to put all four tires on the Lawn mower, Now I could put tires on my tractor for what lawn mower tires cost.

The more stuff you have the more you have to keep up, HMMMM maybe I will sell it all and just set up a tent by the river again and hitchhike south in the winter and fish on the big lake. HEHHEHEHHEH.

Winter is visiting us now. It’s overstaying it’s welcome just like a bad houseguest
24F this morning...25f yesterday morning..i have already seen one day high of 81f...hows that for some crazy weather.

Sounds like our weather at the moment. Getting down to 20 tonight, and is 24 right now. Doesn't straighten out to tolerable till near the weekend. My Florida sis is coming in tomorrow evening for the week and she's going to freeze. Seedlings are inside in a bedroom. Haven't planted potatoes yet. Some snap peas came up. And the red tulips are blooming.

Got any Pics, just Love 2lips...!!! ;)

I went out and opened the tops of my raised beds this morning, replanted about 5 plugs of lettuce. Mid 40s this morning, rain coming in with highs in the 50s, I'm hoping the rain will help the lettuce become established. I caught my second possum this morning, much larger than the first. I'm thinking about where to move it to...

I see my raised bed cabbage is starting to fill-in hope to get a head this year.

I was short some parts in my growing station upgrades, the hose came in so I can finish installing the irrigation system. The next step will be to put the watering on a timer.

I've been thinking about my outdoor irrigation system, I have 1 set of beds that are lower than the storage system, so I have to manually close the valves to keep from flooding them. I'm thinking that if I make a high inverter U with a small fitting at the top, it can act as a siphon break, then I could put the whole garden watering system on a timer... :) automation is a real force multiplier. :)

Yesturday was Wet and Windy... One Patio Chair was turned over but, But, BUTT, those Leaves in post # 316 are Still there...!!! 🤣
