Well the temp is dropping and although they are predicting snow next week I don't believe it yet.
This year has been as warm as any since I moved here in 2012. I must have brought the weather with me from Seattle and left the wet stuff there.
I had expected a foot of snow each winter but have only gotten it once in the last 7 years. I can't keep it warm forever but I am enjoying it!
I love the snow, as long as it stays in the mountains where I can enjoy it without all the work.

19* but feels like 9*

Sunny and 70 with some wind down here in the devil's cauldron.
We got to play with yall's storm last night.
Not impressed.
No limbs down, garbage cans still upright, makes me sad we put everything up for the 'severe-winds'
Like going to the casino and being told "sorry, you need 50 to play here":(.

Considering we have made it half-way thru January and are past the winter solstice with only 2 dips below 32°, it's overdue.
I'll take all the 'global-warming' we can muster:D.
Give me 80's!!!
C'mon 90's!:lil guy:

Bad news Sentry. I'm tired of the well above normal temps we've been having. I'm ready for an ice storm we use to gt here every 10 years or so.

How is that bad news? Frigid temps are awesome. Snow is awesome. I even appreciate ice as long as I have sand to put on top of it.

So last night we had our first snow of this year, it arrived with flakes almost the size of snowballs, we probably got 2" or so on the ground but we're supposed to get more snow in the next few days, mostly in the higher areas. This is good because if it stays a while it renews the ground water for this coming year.

Thats why I'm hoping for a ice strom we use to get now and then. We love snow down here just not real often. It also kills off bugs. Also love going to see the winter wonderlands when it snows in the Appalacians. The ice covered trees and forest look like chystal and the snow is so beautiful .:great:

I got my first real snow yesterday (Monday) and last night. I have a good 4-5 inches of very dry snow. If it stays like this the studded tires can stay mounted to the wall. I won't even have to put them on my wife's car.
