Thanks for reviving that memory for me!
We made tons of popcorn balls every year for Christmas when I was growing up.
Small ones to string together to string on the tree, and larger ones to make ornaments out of. (Yes, we brats would throw them at each other )
The cool thing they don't talk about is, if you stirred and covered the kernels good, the popcorn would not go stale for weeks.
This is how Cracker-Jacks were born.

We are feeling lower temps too! Are your curtains with poinsettias going to be for year round, or for Christmas time?

Probably put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving and leave them up until the end of January or even into February because of all the red. The way it's looking, they may not get made this year though.
