Probably so, we had relatives from Whitney Texas stop by and visit this morning (they are 'extra-crispy' out there).
They took turns looking out the front door and drooling as we got our "daily downpour".
The lady showed me pictures of their totally-brown lawn, and I told her about us having to mow every 4 days.

They have a really huge lawn (more than 2 acres) and have no clue how lucky they are.

Yeah, same, it made it more humid for sure. And now fireworks are going off in a couple places, just little poppers, enough to upset the dog. Keep refreshing the water for the birds (and squirrels). Gave them some grapes today. The squirrel would eat one, bury one, repeat.

I heard some fireworks too. I'm in a different county, 1600.00$ fine here for doing fireworks. There were even signs on the roads and fire depts warning people!!

Strangely, no more than $500 fine here but I live near a county line and can't remember which county that was for. I did have access to the warning from the fire marshall's office and other information. Ergh. Just hoping things stay calm.

Yeah the little bit of rain drove the humidity even higher.
We've heard a few fireworks tonight, they'll be more tomorrow night. One of my neighbors 3 doors down moved and he always had a big show for all his grandkids. So not as much close by this year.

Hot and humid the last couple of days - by Michigan standards - but it cooled off nicely last night and it's 69 at this point this morning. Should be a nice day. AC off and windows open.

Had a thunderstorm roll through early Sat morning. Dropped 1/3 of an inch of rainfall. Yesterday was 80s and very humid. Front came through last evening, no rain but dropped humidity. Today will be perfect, 84 and low humidity.

Humidity only at 57% and we're gonna finally have a 'rain-free' day!
Everything is still soakin'-wet and we are good to go on fireworks!
